Carol White

Carol White, editor of the new book “Catskill Peak Experiences: 101 True Tales of High Adventure in the High Peaks,” will give a slide presentation based on the book. For the last forty-five years, mountain climbers in the Northeast have joined the quest for membership in the Catskill 3500 Club, reserved for hikers who summit all thirty-five Catskill Mountain peaks over 3,500 feet high. Adding to the challenge, four peaks must be climbed in winter, and thirteen of the peaks are trailless. After the discussion join us for a real adventure when Carol, a licensed guide, will lead us on a hike to Dibbles Quarry on Sugarloaf Mountain. This trail is only an easy-mile long and leads to a quarry with extensive stonework. Views to Kaaterskill High Peak and the valley below are breathtaking. Put on your hiking shoes and join us for this invigorating event.
