Bicyclist Jake Spero, President of Biking for a Better World, Inc. and one of Jewett's own, will present an in-depth slide presentation of his recent 15,000-mile bicycle voyage from Alaska to Argentina. Jake headed up a team of four bicyclists on a not-for-profit trip from the northern-most road worthy access point in Alaska on the Artic Ocean to the tip of South America at Ushuaia, Argentina in Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia. This 15,000-bike odyssey took nearly 8 months and served as a fundraiser to support the building of a school in the rural region of Northern Nicaragua.
